The app that I reviewed as my choice was scramble. This app is a great app because it is a good educational game and, a lot of fun. This fabulous app is free and a a good choice of games when you are bored or in search of something to exercise your brain, instead of playing games with no educational value.
As you enter the application, it had four options of your choice; solo, pass and play, challenge, and play online. All these buttons will take you to different sections of the app. First, solo.
This is what pops up when you click the “solo” button. It takes you to a screen with scrambled letters. On the lower left hand side of the screen there is a number that indicates what your high score is. The goal of this game is to find as many words as possible with the letters on the screen. Here is the catch. The word that you spell has to be with words that connect.
Now on to play and pass. That part of the app is very similar to the single player version except that in the lower left it says which player’s turn it is. Whoever has the highest number of words, wins. This is fun because rather than racing yourself, you race others.
Now to the “challenge” section. The challenge section requires wi-fi to take part in. Its almost like facebook. You can friend people and then challenge your friends online to a game of scramble, which is similar to pass and play except you can play from long distances.
Lastly, online. Online is also neat because you get together online with random people and test your skill against theirs. It is once again the same as the other features. The whole idea of online is to play others rather than yourself. This is a neat feature because it can get very boring playing yourself and even challenging your friends can get boring.
In conclusion, I would say that the age range for this would be from ten to around ninety-nine. Its always fun, once you are old enough to understand it. Lastly I believe that this is a very good choice for an app. It’s free. It’s fun! The perfect combo.
