Any Age
Free App (Other expansion packs cost $0.99 each)
Ipod Touch, Iphone

Is your Ipod or Iphone running out of memory because you have too many apps? Even if it isn’t, this app may be good for you. This app is a bunch of little apps all put inside it. Primarily, I find it useful for managing my schedule.

When you first open the app, the home screen comes up. The time and weather dominate the top of the screen, while a few options are at the bottom. The settings let you mange which applets you want showing up on your screen, make/change a password, or change the location your weather is coming from. Need help? Just touch the support button to see frequently asked questions. Slide the screen to the left to view your applets.

Their are many applets, but I am going to review the ones I have found most useful. The first one I am going to review is the battery applet. Have you ever been on a plane, and you want to know what you can do before your battery is depleted? This applet tells you! It shows you exactly how much battery is left. Below that, it has a bunch of options for you. It tells you how long the battery will last when your device is on standby. Then, it tells you how long you can talk on the phone with 2G and 3G, spend time on 3G and WiFi Internet, listen to music, and watch videos until your out of battery!

This applet is called Days Until. You touch it, and a screen opens that says “Countdowns” Touch the plus button at the top right corner of your screen. You enter the name of the event, the description, and the date. Press save, and it’s done. Click on it back at the original screen, and there! it tells you how many days until your event,  how many hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. Use this with the Calender applet, and you will be very organized!

This next applet is called Local Search. If you ever get tired of the same restaurants, are in a unfamiliar neighborhood, or need a place to make a pit stop on a road trip, this applet will be really helpful. It helps you find local places. You can find the following:

  •
    • Apple Retail Stores
    • Banks
    • Bars
    • Coffee
    • Gas Stations
    • Hospitals
    • Hotels
    • Movie Theaters
    • Parking
    • Pharmacies
    • Pubs
    • Restaurants
    • Supermarkets
    • Taxis
    • Theaters

This applet can be extremely helpful for tourists. The only flaw I find in this applet is its functionality. If you don’t have WiFi or 3G Internet, than this app will not function. Here, I searched restaurants and found one called Homers.

For the last section, I am going to review three applets that all preform a similar function. They are Fake Text, Fake Call, and Fake Miss Call. Now, some might use this for bad purposes. I am not saying this is the way these applets should be used. Maybe you are in an awkward conversation, and you want to get out. Pull out the Fake Call applet, and get to work. Enter the name of the person you want to call you. Usually Mom or Dad will be most helpful. Select when you want the call to come, what the ring tone will be, and then you can choose an optional background. When it comes, say that you have to take it, and leave the room!

Fake Text can be helpful if you are stuck in a bad situation. Maybe you are at your friends, and they want you to do something you don't want to. Pull up the Fake Text  applet. Enter the name, text and ring tone. Maybe the text will say please come home. Show it to your friends, and you can go!

While this app is free, there are expansion packs. Each expansion pack is $0.99, and there are four out right now. The expansion packs give you extra applets.

This app can really be appropriate for anyone, but it is useful for ages thirteen and up. I don’t really have any suggestions for improvement. I recommend this app because it is useful in many fields, not just one. If you buy this app, I really hope you will enjoy it!
