... Control your computer from the iPad ... Lots of Options ... Doceri is the Best!
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 3:01PM I have tried a lot of the VNC tools and presentation tools ... There are several very good ones but I have to say that one stands out for me now. Now, I realize that VNC tools and presentation tools are not the same, but I will tell you, that the best one I have found is good at both!
Also, I am not talking about tools that allow you to control your computer off site. Tools such as Logmein are not what I am looking for in this post ...
List of good ones that I have tried and been successful with ... What should be added? What is your favorite?
- Doceri Remote
- Splashtop
- SlideJockey
- AirSketch
- Screens
- Desktop
- Touch Mouse
- Keynote Remote
The best one that I have found is Doceri ... It is the most expensive of the bunch, $50.00, but I feel like you get what you pay for! This app goes a step farther than all of them in several ways but the best feature is the "screen capturing" aspect of the app. Now, don't judge too quickly until you look at it in Landscape mode as well.
Here is the official word from Doceri, " In a nutshell, Doceri is the ultimate tool for presentations and lessons. Through the Doceri Remote iPad app and Doceri Desktop software, you can control a computer (Mac or Windows), easily launch any document or application, and annotate over them at any time. You can save drawings and play them back in the future allowing even better presentations to be created from your existing PowerPoint or Keynote slideshows. If you just want to use it as a whiteboard, you can create any handwritten/drawn content on any background of your choice. And with additional room control hardware, Doceri can even be used as the remote control for projectors, DVD players, and all other audiovisual devices in your room."
See below ...
Now, I have not been able to control my AV as I am testing without these tools, but this is another feature that goes beyond other tools.
What do you think?
