Passwords ... 1Password and Dropbox ... Oh my!
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 7:19AM I get asked once in a while about the best password protection applications. There are several, but I want to highlight 1Password. Currently, I am using only Apple products, so I can't speak for the PC side of this solution. If you know of something better or if you have used it with your PC, please let us know.

1Password is a nice application and when you add Dropbox into the mix, it is just fantastic! Here is the official explanation of 1Password, "1Password touch for iPad securely stores your important information and enables you to log into websites automatically with a single tap. With 1Password touch, There is no need to remember the username, password, or even website addresses!"
Additionally, "1Password saves web site login credentials, personal identity information (such as names, addresses and telephone numbers), a variety of information that you might find in your wallet (licenses, social security numbers, credit cards, etc.), and secure notes for storing any other data you’d like to keep safe from prying eyes."

It works ... It works well ... and it is awesome. All of my passwords and secure information can be accessed from all of my devices and they auto sync when I make some changes or additions. I never forget passwords any more and I have all kinds of different passwords so that I am tougher to hack! Well ... I hope so at least ... That is until I lose my phone and some cracks my secret code ... I promise it isn't 12345678 or password! Hmm ... off to change my master password as someone might have guessed that my dog's name was part of it! Dang it ...
